At approximately 20h30 on Monday night 12 June 2017, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a violent robbery [farm attack] and shooting at a plot in the Nooitgedacht area, not too far from the R114 in the outlying Randburg area.
Netcare 911 paramedics, private security and the SAPS all responded to the call for help.
Paramedics attended to a 53-year-old man who had allegedly been shot and assaulted by his attackers. The man was in a critical condition, he had been assaulted and shot multiple times.
He was attended to by a Netcare 911 Advanced Life Support paramedic was stabilized at the scene and was transported by ambulance, under the constant care of the paramedic, to the hospital for further urgent medical care.
There were no other injuries reported at the scene.
