Two alleged suspects were wounded on 23 June 2017 at a complex in Rooihuiskraal North during a shooting incident. It is understood that a security officer arrived on the scene where he found the suspects breaking into a house.
The suspects apparently tried to flee in a vehicle and a shootout between the security guard and suspects ensued.
One of the suspects was wounded in his abdomen and the other in his chest. Paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene at approximately 11.30am. They were treated on the scene and transported to a nearby hospital under police guard.
The security guard was not injured in this incident. Local police attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
