At approximately 23H33 Friday evening Netcare 911 responded to reports of a drive by shooting in Caldonia street, near Uitog street in Brakpan.
Although it is alleged reports from people at the scene when the shooting occurred indicated that they were sitting casually when a vehicle passed by opening fire on them.
Tragically two people were declared deceased on the scene, another two people were left in a moderate condition and one person left in a critical condition.
Due to the nature of the injuries Advanced Life Support intervention was required.
All the injured were transported to hospital for further assessment and care.
Necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating.
