At about 8:15 the police acted swiftly after they received a complaint from a member of a community telephonically, about two suspect’s busy digging up cables in the rain at the N4 road in Lotus Garden.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police found two suspects busy digging out a cable. Upon questioning the suspects, one suspect attempted to run away however police managed to chase and apprehend the suspect swiftly.
The two suspects aged 19 and 20 were arrested for attempted cable theft and are being detained at Pretoria West Police Station.
They will soon appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.
