Two men shot during Blackheath shooting

Two men were left injured this morning following a shooting in a parking lot near a mall on Beyers Naude Road in Blackheath, Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at approximately 11h50 and found the local authorities already in attendance.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics found two men lying on the ground surrounded by numerous local law enforcement officers. Three other men were already in law enforcement custody.

Paramedics assessed the two men and found that one had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg while the third had sustained lacerations to his face.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported the patient with the gunshot wound, under law enforcement supervision, to a nearby hospital. The patient with the minor wounds declined transportation to a hospital.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
