CENTURION — Gauteng police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder following a shooting incident on Thursday at the Blue Valley Golf Country Estate in Centurion, which left two people dead and two others injured.
According to Gauteng police spokespersons, the victims were traveling in a vehicle and entering the estate when unknown assailants opened fire on them. The motive for the attack remains under investigation.
“The victims were going into the Blue Valley Golf Country Estate in their car when they were attacked by unknown assailants,” Gauteng police spokespersons confirmed. “Two people have been killed and two others injured.”
Authorities have cordoned off the scene as forensic teams and investigators work to gather evidence. Police spokespersons emphasized that inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the motive, are ongoing.
No arrests have been announced at this stage, and the identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin. Gauteng police spokespersons urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
The case remains open as detectives continue their work to identify and apprehend those responsible.
