Yesterday evening, an incident caused heavy traffic delays on the N12 westbound, just at the Voortrekker off-ramp.
A White VW Polo, which two African males occupied, were shot at and the occupants killed, which is suspected to be a “drive by” shooting. The motive behind the shooting is unclear, and the suspects are unknown.
Three lanes were affected, traffic was backed up, and from the N3 direction, South towards Alberton, traffic was diverted to the Grey Avenue off-ramp.
Motorists are advised to approach with caution and be patient.
