Two elderly men aged 81 and 76 were severely kicked and beaten on their smallholding situated Hertzenberg Fontein, near Walkerville, Midvaal Municipality on Thursday, January 19.
The elderly men were brutally attacked and tied up by unknown suspects who fled with their vehicle, a blue Golf, registration number TSL 211 GP.
The victims were left alone, tied up for the entire day and suffering from pain caused by the attack. It was only late in the afternoon when they were discovered and immediately taken to a nearby hospital. At the same time, a trauma counselor is attending to them.
The police are investigating the robbery and attack and at this stage, the suspects are still at large.
