Two eight year-olds bludgeoned to death VIDEO
Students hijacked raped and shot - Port Elizabeth

On Sunday, two cousins both eight years old were bludgeoned to death in an abandoned building behind the Germiston mortuary. The bodies were found hidden under plastic covers on Monday.

A CCTV footage captured a man leaving the backyard of their home on Sunday, with eight-year-old Kefilwe Motaung. Her cousin also eight years old, did not want to be alone. The two were inseparable, she runs after her, and that was the last time the mothers and family saw them alive.

The grandfather of the children, Lelala Motaung, sat on the spot where the children last played, clasping, and unclasping his hands repeatedly, said, “I keep thinking I should have done something to stop this”.
The family tracked down the alleged killer and handed him over to the police, after a nearby shop owner told them that his CCTV camera, which looks into the entrance of their property, recorded the alleged killer leaving with the two cousins.

A family member said the suspect had lived on the property and was no stranger. He did odd jobs for them and was trusted. The family are devastated and feeling as though they were to blame by not being stricter with the children or warning them about strangers.

Police spokesman Colonel Noxolo Kweza said a 40-year-old man would appear in court today on murder charges.
