On Wednesday, 27 March 2019 at approximately 14:30, Florida SAPS Crime Prevention members spotted a car driving recklessly at Mollie Street in Whiteridge, Florida. Members gave chase and pulled the Chevrolet Spark over.

A vehicle enquiry was then done and it came out positive, that it was hijacked in January 2019 bearing a case of Jeppe Police Station.

The suspects were using a false registration number plate. The two suspects, aged between 23 and 25 have been detained for possession of hijacked motor vehicle.
