JOHANNESBURG – Police arrested two suspects between the age of 37 and 38 for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at corner Bree and Claim Street on the 28 January 2020 at 20:30.
Police were busy with their crime prevention duties when they received a lookout for a hijacked white Polo Vivo motor vehicle. The vehicle was hijacked at Betrams.
Police spotted the vehicle at the above mentioned streets with two occupants inside. They were instructed to come out of the vehicle; police recovered a firearm with no serial number and ammunition.
Investigation are under way and suspects will appear on the 30 January 2020 in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.
