The Gauteng Provincial Government has entered into a partnership with the African Development Bank to host the Inaugural Africa Investment Forum scheduled to take place at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 7th to 9th of November 2018.

The event is expected to be attended by the President of the Republic of South Africa, 20 Heads of State, other foreign delegates, number of high level company CEOs and VIP guests.

The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NatJOINTS) will be ensuring the safety and security of the delegates before during and after the World Africa Investment Forum at the Sandton International Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The activities and deployments outlined will ensure uncompromising security measures are implemented for the duration of the event. These include VIP safety, route, venue, city and accommodation security, a combined intelligence and investigative capacity, crowd management and port of entry deployments, traffic control, which can be deployed to deal with any eventualities.

The NATJOINTS has ensured that general safety, day-to-day policing is not compromised for all law-abiding South Africans for the duration of the event. Normal day today policing will continue as usual. The community in and around Sandton Convention Centre are alerted to the following road closures for the duration of the event:

Maude Street and West Street, Maude Street and 5th Street, Alice Street and 5th Street, Alice Street and West Street

Commuters are advised to use alternative routes and allow for enough travel time.

We appeal to all South Africans to be supportive of the security forces on and around the Sandton Convention Centre.
