Members of the SAPS, Olievenhoutbosch Gauteng Traffic Wardens, and local private security companies responded swiftly to information from a crime-fighting group about three male suspects fleeing from Old Johannesburg Road towards Olievenhoutbosch.
The suspects had attempted to steal a motor vehicle in the Lyttleton policing area and were pursued by authorities.
Driving a grey Chery with false registration plates, the suspects fled the scene but were quickly intercepted by the officers.
All three suspects were arrested.
