Thirty motorists arrested for reckless and negligent driving in Gauteng

The Gauteng Traffic Police (GTP) High-Speed Unit arrested thirty motorists for excessive speeding along Gauteng freeways.

The suspects are aged between 19 and 52 years and recorded between 148km/h and 210km/h in a 120km/h zone. The suspects were charged with reckless and negligent driving, with an alternative charge of exceeding the prescribed speed limit.

Motorists are reminded to prioritise theirs and the safety of others. Every driver must obey the traffic laws, including speed limits, to ensure safer roads for all.
