Friday afternoon, around 14:00, our Centurion crew responded to a motor vehicle collision on Old Johannesburg Road near the Zwartkop Airforce base in Centurion.
The incident occurred following a high-speed chase by police and security officers. The pursuit ended when the vehicle the alleged assailants were travelling in collided with another vehicle.
Two members of the public sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Three alleged suspects were arrested, of which two sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to hospital in a stable condition under police guard.
The exact circumstances that led up to the incident are not clear at this time, and the police are investigating the incident.
