Police in Zonkizizwe arrested two male suspects at the corner of R550 and R103 Zonkizizwe. The police were performing normal crime prevention duties when they noticed a suspicious white Nissan double cab with four occupants.

Upon stopping the vehicle, the occupants ran away. The police gave chase and managed to arrest the two of the suspects. They were brought back to the vehicle where cellphones and cellphone display-stands were found inside the box.

The suspects, aged 29 and 37, failed to give clear explanations of where they got the cellphones. They were subsequently arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property. The other two suspects are still at large and investigation is continuing.

The arrested suspects are expected to appear in Palmridge magistrate’s court soon.
