A man was left critically injured on 24 June 2017 after an apparent hijacking in a parking lot of a mall in the Bedfordview area.
At approximately 12:00, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a man, believed to be a suspect, lying in the parking lot surrounded by security members.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained several gunshot wounds and was in a critical condition. The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported, under law enforcement supervision, to Tembisa Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
