On 12 April 2018 at about 10:00, Police arrested a male suspect at Weiwer Street, Birch Acres for possession and dealing in drugs.

The police officers were patrolling around Birch Acres area. During their patrols a community member stopped them an informed them about a house at Weiwer Street suspected selling drugs. Upon the officers arrival at the said house, they found a male person who claimed to be the owner of the house. The owner was asked permission to search his place and in his bed room they discovered five plastic with white substance suspected to be drugs (cat).

The suspect (35) will appear in Kempton Park Magistrate Court soon facing charges of possession and dealing in drugs.

The station Commander of Norkem Park, Colonel Tobias Strauss applauded the officers who acted swiftly to the tip off and also thank an unknown community member who come out with information.

The police are appealing to anyone who had any information about criminal activities to come forward by contacting SAPS on 0860010111 or 10111.
