At approximately 12H23 on Friday 02 February 2018, Netcare 911 dispatched resources following reports of a shooting incident in Twist Street in Park central, Johannesburg.
Reports from the scene allege that a gang attacked the armed cash guards and a shootout ensued.
Netcare 911 Advanced Life Support paramedics as well as paramedics from another private ambulance service and from the City of Johannesburg EMS are attending to three patients at the scene.
One of the armed cash guards as well as a suspect have been shot and they are both in a very serious condition and are being attended to by Advanced Life support paramedics.
A female bystander who is in a state of shock after being caught up in the incident is in a stable condition and has been transported to hospital for further care.
The police are on the scene and investigating the incident. Traffic in the area is delayed due to the incident.
