Crime Prevention (Narcotic Team) Pretoria Central, arrested two suspects aged 33 and 28 in a raid against drugs dealers who are using street vendors to sell their merchandise.

The suspects were apprehended at Scheiding and Lillian Ngoyi Street, pretend to be selling normal merchandise such as sweets, Chips, etc.

During the search, the police officers discovered zip lock plastic bags of dagga underneath a plastic floor cover of a bag. Through intelligence interviews by the police, more ziplock packets of dagga were found at one of the suspects apartment.

In a separate incident within Pretoria Central during police foot patrol seven suspects were arrested for possession of narcotics (dagga).

Sting operations such as these will be conducted continuously to curb crime within the Pretoria Central Business District Area.

All arrested suspects will appear at the Pretoria Magistrate Court soon.
