Residents of Soweto set an Eskom substation on fire using petrol bombs to protest against a local businessman who illegally “taped” Eskom’s lines for power.

The businessman’s actions led to power cuts and the residents then decided to burn out the businessman’s “source” of income.

Two separate cases are now pending, against the arsonists and the businessman.
