Last night during the protests in Meadowlands, Soweto, the demonstrators petrol bombed and torched a Rea Vaya bus.

The protestors continued to block the roads with burning tyres, placing huge rocks and trees on the roads, making it impossible for anybody to enter or exit the location of the protest.

The destructive behaviour did not stop at only blocking roads, and burning a bus; passing vehicles were also stoned. The protestors are demanding free electricity as was promised by the African National Congress (ANC) governing party.

It is indeed sad that the demonstrators do not recognise the tactics of the ANC and believe the lies the ruling party spew out. These ignorant people do not understand that the ANC do not have any money to supply free electricity because all the funds have been misappropriated.
