A smallholding situated on plot 12, in Mnandi, Centurion, Tshwane targeted by suspects around 00H20 on Wednesday, January 11.
Three suspects gained entrance to the property through the electric gate and proceeded to break open the kitchen door with a crowbar.
When the suspects opened the door, they were surprised to find the occupants ready to defend their property.
The suspects hesitated and fled the scene.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation continues.
