Six armed suspects attack family on a farm in Fochville
Farmer shot and stabbed during an attack - Brits

On Tuesday, October 18, six armed and dangerous men attacked a family on a farm in the Fochville area, Merafong Municipality, Boschhoek, Gauteng.

The suspects managed to gain entry into the property and overpowered a worker. While the dangerous criminals were robbing the worker, the farmer Pieter N arrived on the scene and was assaulted by the suspects.

The farmer’s wife and mother-in-law were in the vehicle at the time and managed to activate the community assist for help. Fortunately a neighboring farmer responded and the suspects tried to flee, but not without firing shots at the farmer. The farmer retaliated and apparently two of the suspects were wounded in the legs.

The two wounded suspects were arrested by the South African Police and taken to hospital for treatment. They will remain in hospital under police guard.

The other four suspects managed to get away in a white single cab pickup with registration number PGJ 700 GP, apparently it is a false number plate. The other car used by the perpetrators is a Red Polo with a GP registration. It is thought that one of the suspects is dressed in a green overall and another wore a black cap.

The search for the other four criminals continues and the investigation will carry on.
