Silverton stolen vehicle recovered in Eersterust

The South African Police Service in Eersterust recovered a white Hyundai sedan that was reported stolen on Tuesday, 27 July 2021 in the Silverton area.

The police received information on the morning of 28 July 2021, about a suspected stolen vehicle parked behind the Eersterust Secondary School.

Members swiftly operationalized and proceeded to the scene where they found a white Hyundai Elantra that was stripped and its wheels removed. The vehicle was suspended on the bricks. They conducted preliminary investigation on the scene and it was established that the vehicle was stolen in Silverton on 27 July 2021.

The police proceeded with their investigations and it led them to a house in John Sydney drive, where they managed to recover several car parts that were stripped from the Hyundai.

Investigation continues and arrests are imminent.

Meanwhile the police are appealing to the members of the community to assist with information that can lead to the successful arrests and prosecution of those behind the theft and stripping of the said vehicle.
