A security guard that has to protect commuters on trains has been killed by passengers in Soweto.
The incident occurred at the Nancefield station. A second security guard is in a critical condition in the hospital.
Apparently, commuters became angry when the guards did their job and asked passengers for their train tickets. A number of them did not have tickets, and instead of buying tickets they killed the guard and seriously injured the other.
This incident brings the number of killings to four at the same station over a four week period.
