Three suspects attempted to break into a farm on Saturday, February 18, situated at plot 68 Dewagensdrif Cullinan district.
The suspects broke the security gate and were trying to break open the door. A woman who lives alone on the property shouted and the suspects fired a shot at her and fled.
It is the second time in seven days that the suspects have tried to access the same house.
The police and farming community were alerted and an intensive search for the suspects continue.
