Ensure Security’s National Command Centre was alerted to a robbery that had taken place on Florida Road in Morningside.
Reports from the incident indicate that an unknown male suspect robbed a female of her cellphone and engagement ring, before fleeing in an awaiting getaway vehicle.
A member of another private security company noted the vehicle fleeing and a high-speed chase ensued down Sandie Thusi Road, with the suspects losing control of their vehicle and crashing.
Two men then alighted from the car and fled on foot, unfortunately evading arrest.
The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing….
