A motorist, Jeann van Rooyen, had an unpleasant experience on Sunday evening June 10, on the N1 highway in Pretoria between Rigel Avenue and Verwoerdburg. He felt that his vehicle was dragging something on the road, but for safety reasons, he continued to his home in Verwoerdburg.
Upon further investigation, he found that he drove over a plank that had nails protruding out of it.
In the meantime, the Vryburger has determined that the method is used more often in the Pretoria area to stop motorists and then rob them.
