The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department can confirm a fatal shooting incident on Soweto Highway in Diepkloof with both directions on the route being blocked off to traffic between the N1 and Immink Drive.
It is understood that a taxi boss has been fatally shot.
Emergency personnel and Law Enforcement officials are currently on the scene.
Motorists are advised to exercise patience and caution and to avoid the route as vehicles are being diverted at the N1 and Immink Drive.
