The people are barricading entrances and exit points of Ward 02.
The Vlakfontein settlement appears to be protesting, and the prime contention is the land and housing issues. Another protest that you will not see on state-owned television. It can be expected that as the municipal elections draw close, the country will be wrecked with protests by citizens who want good governance. Main Reef Road, Impala and Randfontein roads between Roodepoort and Leratong Crossing are affected by the protests.
