Abel Nagano (28) appeared in court on Monday after the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crimes Investigation team executed a warrant for his arrest on Sunday, 30 October 2022.
The arrest arose from the Hawks’ investigation that has implicated Nagano on an email sent to the Lesedi Local Municipality in March this year stating that Combined Private Investigation Security Services bank details have been changed.
The municipality proceeded to pay what was due into the new provided account, thereby prejudicing the municipality’s coffers by an amount of over R2 million.
The Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court remanded Nagano in custody pending the next court appearance on Friday, 4 November 2022.
