Vehicles were being burnt and stoned businesses along Main Reef Road were petrol bombed during a violent protest in Princess, Roodepoort.
Motorists should avoid Main Reef Road and the R24 rather use Ontdekkers road or N12.
Ongoing riots in the Roodepoort area and 2 people have been reported murdered one was reportedly necklaced. Police have worked tirelessly trying to contain the chaos.
