For anyone going to Johannesburg this morning, there’s a massive riot on the R59 road. They have rocks everywhere and burning tyres. Take the old Vereeniging Alrode road. Just after the blockhouse Road. It has been reported that demonstrators are being violent towards motorists.
NOTICE! R59 North closed at the Randvaal interchange for reasons unknown. Traffic is diverted onto the M61 the old Meyerton/Alberton road joining up with the R59 at the Kliprivier R550 interchange. Expect HEAVY delays!
Why can’t people learn to demonstrate peacefully, without destroying other peoples property and restricting them of freedom of movement. That’s violation of their constitutional rights.
