Protest action has restarted. A group of about 50 protesters advanced to the Total Garage behind Tasbet Spar. They have closed the road at the traffic light at the corner OR Tambo and Kiepersol streets.
Roads are barricaded and protestors are throwing stones at passing vehicles.
Protest are currently underway in Bronkhorstspruit, N4 direction to eMalahleni, (Witbank) and roads are closed. South African Police are on the scene.
There are reports that the area has been without water supply for more than three weeks. Reports have surfaced that community members are up in arms about the new car costing R1.5 million the new mayor purchased. The members want the water supply fixed before money is splashed on new cars.
