A 52-year-old man is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court facing charges of illegal dealing and possession in drugs worth approximately R1.5 million on Monday, 12 April 2021.
A Search and seizure warrant was issued by the court and during execution, police confiscated suspected crystal meth and heroin drugs readily packaged with an estimated street value of R1.5 million and over R10 000-00 in cash.
Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team in Pretoria conducted an intelligence driven operation at Wingate Park in Pretoria East which resulted in the apprehension of the alleged drug dealer.
The suspect was later charged with illegal dealing and possession of drugs. Investigation continues.
