A mob of land grabbers just outside Pretoria, some armed and threatening with petrol bombs against the media and anyone who tries to stop them. The sheriff will deliver Afriforum and Dr Maserumule’s eviction notice this afternoon, 3 September 2018.
“AfriForum assisted the farmer, Dr Motodi Maserumule, after trespassers started occupying and selling his land. With AfriForum help, he filed a complaint of trespassing after the Soshanguve police station initially refused to investigate the case. Until now, the police are conspicuous in their absence to protect Maserumule property,” says Ian Cameron, AfriForum Head of Community Safety.
And AfriForum’s kallie kriel is fighting with Johan Steenkamp against expropriation of his farm at 10% of market value, AfriForum’s Ian Cameron is in the field fighting with farmer Motodi Maserumule to have illegal land grabbers removed after the police refused to open a case.
