Police must appoint task force for Krugersdorp murders, says FNSA
Hanlie Lategan , who was murdered by the accused.

Front National South Africa (FNSA) calls on Maj General Deliwe Suzan de Lange, Gauteng Police Commissioner, to appoint a special tasks team consisting of detectives and forensic experts to investigate the recent wave of murders of business people in Krugersdorp.

On the 10th of May Anthony Scholefield, an Insurance Broker, disappeared after he met a client at Key West Shopping Centre. His body was found later in the luggage compartment of his car. On 26 May, Kevin McAlpine, another Insurance Broker, also disappeared after meeting a client at Key West and his body was found under similar circumstances. On 30 May Hanlé Lategan, an Estate Agent, disappeared after meeting a client to view a property. Her body was found in a ditch some hours later.

Even taking into account that some 50 million serious crimes have been reported in 22 years and 2 months, this wave of killings in one town is pushing it to the limits. The public needs to be assured that the SAPS is prioritizing this. It is very obvious that the similarities in the three recent murders cannot be ignored. We call on the Commissioner to make effort in solving these crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
