Two metro trains collided just outside the Selby station on Tuesday morning, 4 September 2018.

More than 100 passengers were injured but no fatal injuries were reported. Seven of the injured are in a serious condition.

The cause of the collision has not yet been made public, although a spokesman said that the accident occurred as a result of a human error when two trains were directed in opposite directions on the same track.

Whoever committed the human error has not been identified, and no report of any prosecution against the person has been made so far.
