A report from SA Rural Security stated that on Saturday, July 2, farm workers were attacked overnight in the Klipkop, Sandrift, and Kameeldrift areas. Three victims are severely hurt and another two with moderate injuries. Suspects used pangas during the assault.
Kameelsdrift community is a small community east of Pretoria and is known as one of the hotspots for crime against farmers and smallholdings.
There have been several farm attacks in the Kameeldrift area as far back as 2008. In March this year a farmer was shot by intruders.
No further details have emerged regarding the latest attack.
