At 06H37 Tuesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a farm attack in an isolated area off the R573 Moloto Road North of Pretoria.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 73-year-old male and a 21-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were found in a critical condition by Paramedics.
It was alleged multiple armed robbers entered their home around eleven pm last night.
They had also sustained injuries from being tied up with cables and cords.
Two vehicles were stolen from the farm after the attack.
Both patients were treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner.
Due to the seriousness of the 21-year-old patients injuries the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter Air Ambulances was called to airlift him to a Johannesburg hospital for specialised care.
Circumstances leading up to the shooting and theft of vehicles will be investigated by the SAPS who are currently on scene.
