Between 01h00 and 02h00 this morning a robber broke into a unit at the Eufees Old age home, situated in Westdene, Johannesburg. A 76-year-old resident woke up when he heard glass breaking.
He fired a warning shot at the perpetrator, and the suspect tried to attack him.
The resident fired another shot and the suspect was hit. The suspect then fled but collapsed dead outside in the garden.
