Gauteng: At 12H15 Friday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a patient with serious burns on Yaldwyn road in Jet Park, Boksburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that nine people sustained varying degrees of injuries related to violent protest action.
A security guard who was trapped in the mob had sustained serious burns and was found to be in a critical condition.
He was treated on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and due to the seriousness of his injuries the Netcare 2 helicopter Air Ambulance was called to the scene.
All the patients were transported to hospital by various ambulance services for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
