A newborn baby has been found floating in a lake in Johannesburg, ER24 said in a statement on Tuesday.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said paramedics arrived at the Florida Lake in Roodepoort on Tuesday afternoon after receiving a call from police about the infant.
“Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics found the premature baby on the bank alongside the lake wrapped in a space blanket,” Bodasing said.
The baby was declared dead on the scene.
