Schoolchildren were the eyewitnesses,when a young man who was attacked by a group was burned after a tyre was placed around his body.
The attack is apparently gang related in the Daveyton area.
Winnie Mandela, former spouse of Nelson Mandela, was notorious, in that she was involved in the so called necklacing murders, and she was well known for her statement that the blacks would take over the country with their matches and tyres.
