EMFULENI, Gauteng — For Move South Africa (MOVESA), the upcoming Local Government Elections represent an opportunity to introduce a fresh, viable alternative to the South African electorate by leveraging private and business sector knowledge.

The party is championing a bottom-up approach, focusing heavily on citizen mobilization and political education rather than relying on the machinery of established political structures. Roselyn Tshwane, MOVESA’s mayoral candidate for the Emfuleni Municipality, argues that authentic political transformation cannot be dictated from the top down.

“Change does not come because you are an established political party or a big political party,” Tshwane explained. “Change begins when I go into the community.”

Tshwane emphasized that the current political climate has left many citizens frustrated, and it is this very frustration that serves as the catalyst for MOVESA’s campaign. She noted that when communities are fed up with the status quo and declare it no longer acceptable, the foundation for real change is laid.

However, the MOVESA leader also stressed that passion must be paired with practical solutions. “Conviction alone is not enough,” Tshwane stated, highlighting the party’s strategy to combine community-driven momentum with professional, business-oriented governance models to deliver tangible results for the Emfuleni Municipality.
