On Monday 26 September at approximately 12:30 Emer-G-Med’s M06 and A06 responded to reports of a shooting on Olifantsfontein Road and Lever Road in Midrand.
It’s believed that the victim was followed from the bank after withdrawing a large sum of money.
While stopped at the traffic light the armed suspects approached the victim and shot him in the arm, demanding the cash.
The patient sustained a gunshot wound to his arm and required Advanced Life Support intervention. Paramedics stabilised the patient on the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further care.
The suspects managed to escape without the money.
The South African Police Services took over the investigation.
