Rabelani Dagada, a member of the Mayoral Finance Committee in Johannesburg, was fired after a forensic investigation showed that he had violated the city’s code of ethics.
He was accused of “work-for-friends” in October, alleging that he awarded tenders to a friend with the accompanying financial benefit.
He is also found guilty of price fixing with a council service provider.
Johannesburg is managed by the DA and EFF through a coalition.
