On the morning of 13 August 2020, the driver of a Nissan NP200 Bakkie was allegedly hijacked by suspects who were driving a Grey Nissan Qashqai SUV. The suspects drove off with the victim and he was dropped off at Sinoville.

An intelligence driven operation led the police to a house in Soshanguve Block L where the suspect’s vehicle was found inside the premises including the white NP 200 Nissan that was hijacked. The suspects fled the premises as soon as they noticed police.

The suspects’ vehicle, which was allegedly used in the commission of crime, was seized including an unlicensed firearm of which the serial number was filled off.

A case of hijacking was opened for investigation and more charges will be added.
