While Christo van Niekerk was working on an electric gate motor on a farm situated in Dinokeng, Tshwane Municipality on Thursday, April 20, he was overpowered by four suspects.
Christo was attacked, stabbed repeatedly and bludgeoned with a brick by the four suspects.
If the owner of the farm, Alex van Niekerk, arrived a few seconds later, he might have found Christo dead.
The suspects fled with nothing by the car keys. The family believes the suspects were not planning to rob Christo as his phone, wallet and Nissan X-trial vehicle was not stolen. It appears as though the suspects only sought to hurt Christo.
The police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made.
